CJC Student Wins Best Poster and Silver Medal at Science Research Competitions

We congratulate Ignatius Choong (2T29) for his achievements in obtaining an award for Best Poster (Distinction) at the Institute of Physics (Singapore) Annual meeting and a Silver Medal at the 19th Elementz Science Research Conference and Exhibition. Ignatius has been a part of the NUS – MOE H3 Science Research Programme (SRP) where he has been working on a research project titled: Synthesis and Electrochemical properties of Li4Ti5O12 as anode material for Lithium Ion Batteries. The aim of the research project was to improve the electrochemical performance of Lithium Titanate batteries so that they can be applied in more situations. Ignatius shared that through the experience he acquired many learning points, especially how to not be afraid to ask questions when help is needed and to be self-directed in his learning. We commend Ignatius’s thirst for knowledge and willingness to challenge himself.
